Land Of Smiles: Day 2

It's a brand new morning after a good night's sleep! I knocked out immediately after my head hit the pillow and the next thing I knew, Joey has woken up!

Off to have breakfast!

The breakfast really looks good on the 1st morning, but I got sick of it by the 3rd morning..

Joey enjoying her breakfast!

The view from my hotel room window

That's the swimming pool down below!

So Joey went swimming!

After swimming, we went out for lunch!

Some photos of our delicious fusion lunch to whet your appetite!!

Thai seafood & tang hoon salad

Italian Creamy pasta

Japanese seafood curry rice

The all-famous Tom Yam Goong

And these strawberry & mango drinks were simply yummylicious!!

After lunch, it's off for some window shopping at the Siam Square & Siam Paragon. I say window shopping cos the shops there are all famous branded shops and we of course wanted to keep all our money to buy the very cheap stuffs from the markets. Hee!

Stylo mylo?

Outside the shopping centre, Joey thinks it's too sunny & hot!

And so off we went back to the hotel!

After washing up, we went out to another night market called Patpong Night Market.

It's a typical pasar malam style of night market with lots of stalls selling imitations and alot of bargaining. The most interesting thing about this night market is its sleaziness. Haha... What lined the 2 sides of the markets are different clubs and pubs, mostly with pole dancing and all kinds of sleazy activities going on inside. There are lots of scantily-dressed women (or men-turned-women) sitting outside the clubs smiling at you as you walk past. Many men were trying to solicit business by pulling customers into their clubs.

Patpong is also a place that sells exotic food like fried grasshoppers and what-nots! Isaiah kept looking at them with great interest and I was so worried he would go buy some to try!!!! *Cannot imagine*

The whole place is good if you want to experience Thailand and its traditional background of 'ah guas'.. but I think it's way too sleazy for Joey and me. It's really funny to see a mummy pushing a baby in a stroller through this night market. So I retreated to a Macdonalds across the road while waiting for the rest to finish up their shopping! It was really quite an experience for Joey! Many many bright lights & loud music! =)
