For as long as I’ve bought a car, I’ve not attempted to walk from City Hall to Suntec City with my baby. It used to be a daily affair for me to push Baby Joey in a stroller through the City Link to Suntec City, but with a car, it was no longer necessary.
This morning, because of the F1 road closures, Isaiah alighted me at Swissotel and I had to walk through the City Link because it was heavily pouring outside. The feeling was quite nostalgic. :)
My past experiences of pushing my baby in a stroller through such places had taught me good and bad stuffs about people in general. There are nice people around – those who appreciates your baby and smiles at her, makes lovely comments about how cute she is, and makes attempts to help you along the journey. There’re also nasty people around who frown at me because I was blocking their way with my mega big stroller and causing them to be late for work possibly.
Thankfully, this morning’s experience was nice. There was a nice person who was rushing for time (because he was walking super fast), passed by me and Baby Jayne in stroller, slowed down and checked that I didn’t need any help with my stroller on the escalator, before scooting away super fast again. Really a nice guy. I hope he finds a good wife if he is not yet married and have many cute & filial children in future (Like the one below). He totally deserves it.
U never tell him to wait for your joey! :) haha
