The Bumbo Chair In Their Lives

Both Joey & Jayne spent a portion of their childhood in Bumbo chairs. Jayne is of course still in that phase, whereas Joey had outgrown it but occasionally still sits in it for fun.

I thought it might be interesting to look back at Joey when she was at that phase. Her motor skill development was much faster than Jayne. She was already sitting very steadily in the Bumbo when she was 3 months old. (Took these photos off the blog’s archive because I was too lazy to go search my softcopies, so they are not so sharp. And don’t say I never warn ya: She was really fat chubby then.)

 

The worst of the lot. I seriously don’t know what she ate to grow to this. Nah, not my fault at all. But gosh, her smiles are so super cute! And who can forget the thick locks??!

At 5 months +, Baby Jayne sits in the Bumbo chair, though not for long without screaming to be taken out of it. Her neck still slants a little to one side – Not sure whether her neck is not strong enough or she’s just plain lazy. Anyway, I don’t let her sit in it for long periods because it looks like it’s very straining for her neck.

 

You know, I figured since I can’t beat the one lock of hair standing up against gravity, I might as well join in the fun, and click it up with a hair clip. I must say it looks like a coconut tree on a deserted island now.

I swear I did attempt to snap a photo of how I clipped that lock of hair, but she just kept staring at my camera that I was too scared she might bend her head all the way to her backside. I had to give up. Lost. Totally.
