The Free-Flow Mucus

What a gross title, I know.

My poor little baby is sick and the title pretty much describes her state. This is probably her sickest episode since she was born. Can you believe it got so bad that she almost lost her voice totally? There was even once we could not hear her cries because they were so soft and she cried so hard in the bedroom for us until we finally heard it after a long, long while. :( The phlegm was just so thick that we were so scared she would have difficulty breathing.

When we brought her to KK Hospital, she was coughing badly, running a fever and mucus was free flowing and green. Her poo was green as well. Some emerald green which would be quite nice and pleasant if not for what it was. The nurse who did the preliminary checks felt that ours was an urgent case as baby might have difficulties breathing, so we were given priority to see the doctor first.

Doc sent her for chest X-ray (my 1st time wearing a anti-ray vest carrying a naked Jayne as the X-ray machine did its job). The diagnosis was that she has mild bronchitis and Doc gave her one dose of nebulizer on the spot. Thankfully, the doctor didn’t think it was necessary for her to have the nebulizer at home, so she was given oral meds instead.

Morale at my lowest whenever my kids are sick. I pray that Jesus heals them completely and quickly!!!

These were taken yesterday… She’s on her way to full recovery! (Can you see the glistening things below her nostrils? Haha..)
