A Sanity Preserver

Enough is enough!

The journey to work every morning is torturous because I am often stuck with 2 sleepy and fussy kids in a car in a massive traffic jam for 30-45 minutes everyday. The traffic conditions in Singapore are getting worse!

And so, in order to preserve my sanity, I needed to do something to entertain the elder one so that at least I just need to entertain the younger one. And thus the emergence of this:

Joey’s Survival Kit

Inside the kit are things that Joey can do while inside the car, so that she’s reasonably occupied.

An A5 drawing block – Small & portable.

Crayons for her to doodle

Story books..

I’m also going to put in her portable DVD player and some DVDs so that she can watch during the journey. And also some stacks of coloured papers so that we can also play origami.

Let’s hope these things can keep her occupied for a significant amount of time before she screams, ‘Mummmmmmyyyyyyyy!’ again. =)

In the meantime, Baby Jayne has been doing well in every area except in the area of weight. =.=

I keep reminding myself that she is just born petite and will be slim & pretty all her life, but you know babies who are skinny are really not nice. Babies should be chubby and round!

It doesn’t help that everyone has been telling me that she seemed to be losing weight. Everytime someone says that, I get stabbed in my heart over and over again. It’s the Mummy ego at work.

Fat baby = Well-taken-care-of.

Skinny baby = Mummy never take good care.

Currently, she’s on 3 meals of porridge everyday, with milk in the morning, afternoon and twice at night. She sleeps through the night everyday from about 9pm to 7am, with 3 mini naps in between. I thought that’s quite a good lifestyle isn’t it??? How else can I fatten my kid, can anyone tell me??
