Joey has this interesting habit of ‘making’ someone her favourite. Usually it’s a male.
It’s not hard to tell that someone has been ‘made’ her favourite because you’ll see her tagging along with that person everywhere we go. She’ll stick to him, talk to him ALL the time and keeps calling his name. My friend, Tristan, happens to be her that favourite Uncle for quite a while now.
Yep, that’s Uncle Tristan there.
We celebrated his birthday last weekend at Kichi Kichi Rotary Hot Pot restaurant at Ngee Ann City. Even though it’s quite a nightmare bringing kids to have steamboat meals, but I thought since Uncle Tristan is her favourite uncle I can’t possibly leave her out of the celebration! But to parents out there, this restaurant is really not kids-friendly. It doesn’t have highchairs for babies and toddlers, only raised seat platforms to be placed on the regular seats which does not belt the kids to the seat at all.
It’s my first time eating at a conveyor belt steamboat buffet restaurant, and it’s a pretty interesting experience!
Joey was all excited to start the moment we reached the restaurant! She wanted to grab every dish off the conveyor belt even before our soup base arrived! And of course, the plates of watemelon and honey dew passing by her ever so often made her so happy!
You can choose to have community pot or individual pots, but what’s the fun about steamboat if it’s all individual pots???! =D
The birthday boy enjoying the dinner. =)
I have to say though, that I didn’t really like the soup bases in this restaurant. Everything tasted bland. But the plus is that the food are all very hygienically presented and taste fresh. Guess you can’t have best of everything. =)
Anyway, Happy Birthday Uncle Tristan!!!!!!!!! We Love you!!!!!
Love, Joey & Jayne
