The same people from Sophie & Friends who sent me the Cleebo recently sent me another product for my kids to try, and it’s a Japanese modelling clay called Kanten Clay Studio. It’s great because my kids get to play with it this time round. =)
It’s good for kids to fiddle with clay as it helps them in their creativity and development of some fine motor skills. Joey loves playing with clay, so I expected it to be a hit with her, and it was. Now, you may wonder what’s so special about Kanten Clay? Isn’t it like any other modelling clay??
Well, before I got my hands on Kanten Clay, I already heard that it’s a modelling clay of superior quality and meets high safety standards. Many parents are getting increasingly concerned about hazardous artificial chemicals in toys, but Kanten is made of agar, food colouring and brine, which makes it all-natural. That also meant that I can safely let my kids play with them without worrying!
And since it’s all natural, I did my review outdoors! =D Brought Joey to the park and we played with the modelling clay there! It was so much fun. =)
Kanten Clay Studio comes in 7 lovely colours, all individually packed in cute bottles. Sophie & Friends sent over two pots for Joey to try. So glad one of it is Joey’s fav colour, PINK! =D
To be frank, I was very pleasantly surprised when I touched the Kanten Clay for the first time. It was very stretchable yet sturdy, and does not cause a sticky feel on my hands. Most of the other modelling clay I played with previously always left an irritating sticky feeling on my hands that could be removed only after several washes. I was amazed by the great texture & feel of Kanten Clay!
Joey liked the feel of the clay as well, and she kept telling me that it was very easy to mould the clay into what she wanted to create. I was enjoying every minute of this bonding time with my girl in the park. Way better than watching some boring cartoons at home.

Seems like Kanten Clay is fun not just for the kids, but for adults as well. Haha!
