Papa Isaiah loves to suntan, because he loves the feeling of sweating. I can totally understand that. Sweating may make me feel sticky, but it also cools me down and actually makes me feel more energetic! And so, even though both my girls sweat easily at the snap of a finger, I love bringing them outdoors to sweat it all out!
As I was saying, we had an awesome time at the Hort Park over the weekend. There’re a few playgrounds inside Hort Park itself, and of course, when my girls see a playground, they can’t control themselves. They literally cast everything aside and just run towards the playground.
The best thing about playgrounds is how it strengthens the motor skills of the children. My kids can climb up and down, slide here and there and I don’t even worry that they’d fall down. They’ve trained themselves to be very agile indeed. So most of the time, I don’t really need to watch them closely, and can just let them play their hearts out by themselves.
Learning to balance is a hard time. Even mummy is still learning now. =P
The girls can spend hours playing even in a small playground. They never get tired or sick of playgrounds!
Speaking of which, Hort Park is really beautiful. As we walked along, I saw so many beautiful plants and flowers, it was superb. Love Nature and very thankful to God for creating such beauty! I even spotted a pretty bee sucking on flower pollen. =)
And this really cute berry-look-alike thing. So awfully cute.
There’s a butterfly garden within Hort Park as well, but it’s only open for a couple of hours on some days of a month. Thank God for that. I am so scared of butterflies!!!! I feel itchy just staring at them from outside the enclosure. I would NOT step into that garden no matter what you say.
Obviously, Joey wished she could get inside and up, close and personal with those butterflies (No joke, some were really humongous. Hideous.)
Even though the weather was hot, but smelling the green grass, seeing colourful flowers in full bloom and feasting my eyes on the clear blue skies and fluffy clouds was my idea of a good time.
Seriously, I can watch them all day long and be contented doing just that. =)
My precious girls grow up so fast day by day, that it is my desire to capture every moment of their lives as best as I can. I want to be able to share in their joys and every learning milestone.
And my weekend was beautiful because of them. =)
