It was a long walk to the King’s house. Thankfully, the weather was glorious and nice.
The grass was well groomed and made for really nice seating down.
Much to the delight of the kids, there was a play area set up for them as a reward for the long walk. Haha!
An ice-cream stall was the most popular as everyone crowded to get an ice-cream cone on such a hot day. Simple pleasures really.
And there we spotted the King’s house! =) Nice and grand-looking.
To enter the King’s house, you have to purchase a ticket for $2/person.
No photography allowed inside the King’s house, but we saw interesting paintings and souvenirs given by other countries’ dignitaries. The King’s house also has a very lovely looking dining hall, living room and special ceremonial halls.
Before we left the Istana, we decided to let the girls chill on the grass and run a little. It was really nice.
And we took a photo with the ever-faithful guard! Well done guarding the King’s house, soldier! =)
