Passed by SAFRA Yishun’s swimming pool several times when we went there for bowling, and we’ve always thought it would be nice to bring the kids swimming there. Two weekends ago, we finally did. The entry tickets are more expensive than that of public swimming pools, but I liked it that it was much less crowded and there were more pools of different depths available there. (Public rate - Adults’ entrance fee = $3.30, Kids below 5 years old = $1.70)
The kids were excited. It’s been quite a while since we last brought them swimming. Both my girls love waterplay. Even though the weather that day was very cool and the water was very cold, it took us much energy to coax them out of the pool. I was freezing myself!
The backdrop here was also much nicer than that of Woodlands Swimming Pool. There’s a bridge above our heads and a tall rock-climbing wall for the adventure-seekers. When we were there, the slide was closed for maintenance, otherwise kids could actually take a long slide down into the wading pool.
Inside the pool, there were also rubber gym balls for the kids to play with. Nice idea - My kids loved it!
Just next to the pool area was a nice seating area where you can order snacks from the cafe and enjoy a nice afternoon there. Great for parents to watch their kids. =)
Baby Jayne kept coming out of the pool to take showers. I think she loves having water sprayed on her head. =D
It’s a great joy to see my girls enjoying themselves so much at the pool. Simple things make them happy. =)
