Joey & Jayne have a good friend who lives in JB, and his name is Cookie. Every time we say we’ll be going to JB to visit their great grandmother, their first reaction would be, ‘YEAH, we’re going to see Cookie!’ =.= Not very filial, but they are only kids, so let’s cut them some slack. =P
Cookie is a very furry and cute friend, who jumps up & down when he sees my two girls. He belongs to my hubby’s Aunt (and also the kids’ grand-aunt), and he is a real playful & hyperactive doggie. It used to be that both my kids were scared of him. He was too hyperactive and would pounce on them excitedly. Joey used to spend all her time in the house on the staircases to Level 2 because Cookie dared up climb stairs (then). And Jayne would run away in fear with Cookie chasing her. Scared the wits out of her. Today, he has become their fav doggie of all time.
It’s entertaining to watch how the two girls play with Cookie. Joey treats him like her ‘brother’ and keeps telling him to ‘Come to jie-jie, Cookie!’. Jayne just keeps asking him to lick her hand. =D
I get a little jittery watching her put her hand near to Cookie’s mouth though. You never know when a dog might bite, isn’t it?? =X
The girls always enjoy their time in Grand-aunt’s house with Cookie. I’m also secretly pleased that my kids can have fun with pets and learn how to relate to little animals without me having to actually rear one at home. It’s frankly TOO MUCH TROUBLE. Plus, if you’ve read this blog long enough, you’d know pets and I don’t co-exist peacefully for a long-enough time. I always outlive them, thank goodness.
I have to agree that Cookie is indeed adorable. =) It’s no wonder the girls love him so much! Because of him, Joey has been bugging me to buy her a dog. But of course, the answer will always be a NO. =)
