Recently, a very dear mentor and friend decided to move back to the United States with his family in order to take care of his ailing mother. It was such a bittersweet experience – We obviously cannot bear to see him leave, yet we know it’s something he really felt he needed to do, and so the only thing we could do is to support his decision.
Many friends went to the airport to send him off. Friends both big and small. Many of the big ones were emotional, but the small ones were just happy playing with each other. Look at Jayne and Inez – Don’t they look so cute? =)
Inez is such a sweet baby – She just stands still there and wait for me to take her photographs! Super cooperative!
Friends are so important in our lives. Whether we are 5, 15 or 50, we all need friends whom we can hang out with, have fun with and share a joke with. And especially when the going gets tough, we need friends whom we can count on.
I hope that I can be a friend to my kids as well – One whom they trust, rely on and love. Not just a mum or a disciplinarian or teacher, but a friend. Photo courtesy of Jayne!
