My kids are fans of Disney Junior channel. When they do watch the TV, it’s the first channel they go to. Thankfully, even though they are three years apart in age, there are many animation series that can entertain the both of them at the same time. From 24 Feb, a new animation series - Sheriff Callie’s Wild West has started airing on Disney Junior. This series aims to impart social skills and lessons about good morals, manners and social ethics for children aged 2 to 7, as well as how to be a good friend and neighbour. I am not the super strict kind of mom who doesn’t allow my kids to watch TV, because though overindulgence is no good, moderation is acceptable to me. Of course, it’s a extra bonus when the programs they watch encourage good values as well.

The series follows the story of Callie (voiced by Mandy Moore), a Calico cat sheriff who keeps the peace in her frontier town of Nice and Friendly Corners using her magic lasso and cowgirl know-how, by making sure the town upholds its reputation for being the friendliest town in the West. In addition to Moore, the series stars Lucas Grabeel (Disney’s “High School Musical”, ABC Family’s “Switched At Birth”) as Callie’s trusty deputy Peck, and Jessica DiCicco (Disney's "Gravity Falls") as their loveable cactus sidekick Toby.
