Gardens By The Bay: War of The Roses

Media Invite

Garden by the Bay changes its theme on a regular basis, and that is the reason why you can go back again and again and be mesmerized by the beautiful flowers.

I love being in the Flower Dome especially during the weekdays. It is so therapeutic as I stroll inside the conservatory, admiring the flowers and just enjoying the serenity of it all. Weekends are definitely more crowded, but because the conservatory is huge with a super high ceiling, you don’t feel congested or claustrophobic even when the crowd pours in. This latest theme that Flower Dome has been dressed in – War of The Roses – is one of my favorites to-date because I love roses! Even so, I was surprised at how many different types of roses there are! Get ready for a gastronomical feast for your eyes as I bring you through this new thematic display inside the Flower Dome. Then again, you absolutely need to go see them for yourself – They are BEAUTIFUL. The ‘War of the Roses’ is actually a feudal war in the 15th century between the Royal Houses of Lancaster and York, as part of the "Gardens by the Bay Goes around the World" series for 2014.

Every type of rose looks pretty to me – It’s so amazing that God created them all! Do you know that there are more than 15,000 different rose species grown worldwide??

At least 5,000 roses with over 60 different varieties were used to put together this thematic display in the Flower Dome – How amazing!

I am not sure if this is a rose species as well, but its formation is quite interesting!

Spotted some beautiful orchids in the midst of all the roses! These are gorgeous as well.
