It was on one of our rare date nights out when we stumbled upon Supply & Demand at Esplanade.
The bistro was beautifully furnished with pretty lightings and open-concept kitchen. It’s amazing how clever use of lights can make such a big difference to the interior decor of a restaurant. The whole place’s crowded, so I guess that means the food is not bad. Turned out to be a pretty good choice for us that night. We enjoyed the food, loved the ambience and I certainly would like to go back again. I recommend this place for date nights! After dinner, you can adjourn to its rooftop bar for some after-dinner drinks and snacks, while enjoying the night breeze and the esplanade night scene. That was what we did. :)
One interesting thing on their menu is that you can choose the ‘meat’ that you want, and the chef will whip up something for you – something special and different everyday, with a side dish, and you won’t know what is it until it’s served to you. The husband chose chicken, and this delicious dish was presented to him shortly. It tasted SO GOOD!
I wasn’t very hungry, so I chose a sampling portion of Aglio Olio with prawns – It was really small, but bursting with flavors in every mouthful that I regretted not ordering the full portion. I definitely recommend this if you plan to visit!
After dinner, we went upstairs to the restaurant’s rooftop bar – Love the ambience, breeze and the quiet time spent with the husband. :)
Ordered cheese fries to share with the husband, and this is da bomb! Thick-cut fries were drenched in cheese and jalapeno. Such a comfort dish!
A date night with a wonderful man at a wonderful place makes my heart full. :)
