We woke up bright and early in Holiday Inn Patong, all ready to savour the breakfast buffet. The kids wanted to hurry through their meal because all they could think about was getting to the swimming pool!
Somehow, Holiday Inn Patong exudes a more beach resort feel – There is the smell of the sea in the air, and everyone’s got big wide smiles on their faces.
There are a total of 6 swimming pools, big and small in Holiday Inn Patong, that serves different guests staying at different wings. That’s amazing and especially inviting for kids who love a good swim. The kids got dressed in lightning speed so that we could get to the pool faster after breakfast. Extremely cute kid-sized bathrobes provided as well! (P.S: The photo on the right was taken along the corridor outside our room – Yes, even the corridors were cute!)
The kids’ favorites were of course the two swimming pools right outside the Kids’ Club. Weather was scorching hot that day and I took refuge in one of the cabanas while the kids had a ball of time.
The Kids’ Club folks also conducted some water balloon games, and suddenly, the whole pool was so rowdy and noisy!
After swimming, we had our lunch at the alfresco Italian restaurant. Everyone was famished! Pardon the red-tinged photos because our meals were enjoyed under a huge tent under the sun with the smell of the beach in the air. The food tasted great and the ambience was awesome.
After a quick shower in our room, we excitedly made our way to the highlight of our program that day – We were going for our spa treatments! At Tea Tree Spa at Holiday Inn Patong, the entire family can enjoy spa treats – They even have specialized menu for little kids! My kids LOVE massages and had been going for them every time we return to Thailand. Look at our friendly hosts!
They planned a 60-minute Couple Oil Massage Treatment for the husband and I, and the kids would enjoy 30 minutes of kids’ massage and 30 minutes of pedi/medi. Such enjoyment even for the little ones! :)
Everything felt itchy to the girls, and we could hear their loud giggles in our room next to theirs! =P
It was such a relaxing and invigorating session of massage, using oils of lemongrass and ginger that I really liked. :)
When we were done, we found the girls all done with their massages and finishing up their pedi and manicures. The staff gave Jayne a hairband and even braided Joey’s hair. They really know how to win the hearts of the girls. :D
Thank you for the pampering treats – We enjoyed ourselves very much!
After the spa treatments, the kids headed back to the Kids’ Club for some craftwork and painting while the husband and I enjoyed a quiet afternoon at the hotel lounge with some lovely cocktails and snacks. The cocktails were our complimentary welcome drinks which we could opt to redeem on any day of our stay and at several cafes & restaurants within the resort.
Super yummy food, by the way!
Our last dinner in Phuket was a sumptuous buffet dinner at the hotel main restaurant. Wide selection of grills, seafood and desserts! I’ll let the photos do the talking.
The dinner marked a very happy end to our holiday in Phuket. We were scheduled to take an early morning flight back to Singapore the next morning, and we really couldn’t bear to leave this paradise. Apart from how beautiful the place was, we were most impressed by the level and quality of service rendered by the staff of Holiday Inn and the effort they put in to make even the little kids have a memorable holiday. Families would truly have a wonderful vacation here at Holiday Inn Patong because it’s a venue built with families in mind. I absolutely recommend you stay here when you visit Phuket Patong.
