4 Reasons Why You Need To Visit Christmas Wonderland 2015 @ Gardens By The Bay

Media Invite

So much has been said and so many photos shown about Christmas Wonderland 2015 at Gardens by the Bay, but really, why do you need to go for it? Even if you are not someone who enjoys crowds, I still say it’s absolutely worth spending a few hours at one of the most happening Christmas events in Singapore this year. I’ve got 4 reasons why you should really hurl your whole family to Gardens by the Bay:

1. 50% OF IT IS FREE-OF-CHARGE

Yes Sir, it is. Even if you do not want to pay admission fees to get into one of the conservatories, or play any of the activities there, you can still enjoy a fun, relaxing and festive evening at Gardens by the Bay. The displays this year are amazing, especially when the lights come on when it gets dark, so make sure you stay till the night to catch all of it. The Christmas festive atmosphere can be felt everywhere – You can soak yourself in the decorations, lights, music and performances, and not pay a single cent for it! Just roam around the garden grounds among the Supertrees, lay a picnic mat and just hang around with your family and friends, and you have enjoy a whole evening there. I seriously cannot think of another place you can do that without being illegal or paying a single cent.

That’s how pretty it gets when night falls. =)

2. THE CAROUSEL

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE carousels. It’s so dreamy, happy and a symbol of freedom. If you have kids, you have no reason not to bring your kids for this. But even if you do not have kids, just go and take photos of the carousel (It’s even prettier if you can capture the floating baby behind too!) It’s the prettiest thing ever. The smiles on my kids’ faces when they get to sit in that carousel make me smile too.

While you are there at the Carnival, please make sure you try this twirling twirling slide too! I haven’t seen something like that before!

As the night grew darker, I found these swinging chairs quite a pretty sight too! If your kids are game, go for this too!

3. ICE PALACE

You can absolutely pretend that you are having a winter holiday by going into the Ice Palace at the Christmas Wonderland. My kids had been bugging me to bring them ice-skating, so they were so thrilled to know that they were finally going! They went round and round the ice-skating rink for one hour, getting more and more confident and steady as the minutes went by. It was obvious they were having so much fun, but their poor daddy and mummy were shivering in the cold. Haha! I had prepared sweaters, gloves and snow caps for them, but forgot all about ourselves!

The younger kids who were not confident about trying ice-skating can have fun building snowman and throwing ice balls at each other inside the Ice Playground instead. Just as fun!

4. CHRISTMAS-THEMED DISPLAYS IN FLOWER DOME

Christmas-themed displays are always my favorite theme in the Flower Dome every year. Everything’s just beautiful, festive and exudes a lot of joy. This year was no exception!

Again, to fully enjoy the décor, I recommend visiting at night!

Don’t fret if you have not made a trip to Christmas Wonderland yet.
