Sunway Lost World of Tambun (Part 1)

Media Invite

One of the main objectives of our family trip to Ipoh was to check out Sunway Lost World of Tambun, and we really had a good time there. The whole theme park was segregated into different segments which could cater to different age groups, so the whole family can find something they enjoy in that place. My kids absolutely loved the petting zoo and abundance of animals everywhere (it’s a whole zoo in there!), the husband & I loved the natural landscapes of hills, limestone rock formations and waters, and my mother-in-law has been talking about going back to the Hot Springs Night Park ever since we got back. Yes, you heard me right – There is a Hot Springs Night Park inside Sunway Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) and it’s huge & super shiok in the cool weather at night! Let me unpack this bit by bit as we go along.

There is a mini amusement park inside Sunway LWOT but my kids are not the type who enjoys thrills, so they only went on some of the kiddy rides. This area is not big, but since it’s covered in the ticket prices, the kids would hop on the rides whenever we pass by.

Right next to the amusement was the wave pool as well as water playgrounds, which the kids love of course. The weather was swelteringly hot when we were there, and a dip in the cool waters was extremely inviting.

Our first meal at Sunway LWOT was settled at Kukuntalu Hawkers, which was right at the amusement park area. The choices were good – ranging from Western to Malaysian local cuisines. The only thing was that it was non-airconditioned, but that’s part of the whole theme park experience!

We enjoyed our lunch – prices were pretty reasonable by theme park standards, so we had a bit of everything we felt like trying! I recommend the Ayam Penyet & chendol – They were good!

A visit to Sunway Lost World of Tambun can be a day trip or you can opt to explore the place slowly over a few days by staying in Sunway Hotel (just outside the theme park), or go for glamping like we did! I’m going to cover different parts of Sunway LWOT in the next few parts coming up. If you are considering a short trip with your family in the upcoming March school holidays, hesitate no more – Check out https://sunwaylostworldoftambun.com/ and start planning for your trip! =D
